This video interview is the first in a series created for The Patients Speak. In it Paul Egli, 83bar senior vice president of sales and business development, looks at issues that are at top of mind for those working in pharma, biotech, med device, and therapeutics.

But before we get to the interview, let’s learn a bit more about Paul.

How long have you been in the healthcare industry and what have you seen in that time?

  • I’ve been in healthcare sales and marketing for 21 years. Twelve years of that was working directly with physicians and patients. So I had a front-row seat to witness obstacles to access from the patient perspective. I also saw how reimbursement can drive physician preference and utilization of one therapy over another.
What gets you going in the morning?
  • What drives me out of bed each morning besides the smell of coffee? Being part of a high performance team that delivers a product that helps shorten the journey for a patient in need from years to minutes.
What do you like to do in your free time?
  • For fun I like physical activities that get me and my family out of the house like mountain biking, backcountry camping, hiking, swimming, hunting and fishing.

Now let’s get to the interview with Paul, hosted by Mark Stinson. Watch the video.
